The
Nordic Championship was held last weekend at the really nice track in
Gothenburg, Sweden. The starting list was very competitive in both 1/8
and 1/10 with all the fastest drivers from Sweden, Denmark and Norway
attending.
Qualifying
in 1/8 was a close battle between Mikael Fransson and Martin
Christensen. The TQ spot for the final eventually went to Mikael, just
in front of Martin. In third spot it was the surprise of the weekend,
Stefan Andersson just beating Adrian Berntsen in fourth place.
In
the final Fransson took advantage of his starting position and was able
to pull away slightly. Christensen had a bad start and had to fight his
way through the field. After 15min it started to rain and everyone had
to stop for rain tyres. The MRX4-X of Fransson was perfect on the dry
conditions and it proved to be equally good on the rain tyres. He
managed to pull away even more and finally winning with 3 laps in front
of Serpent driver
Bengt Andersson
and in third place it was local Kyosho driver Marcus Lindner. |
